The Chief Operations Officer leads Wild Florida Rescue (WFR) from the field. WFR Board of Directors has delegated operational decision-making authority to the COO to ensure timely and effective rescue, triage and transportation in the most humane way possible.

"Rescue Team Captain"
The Rescue Team Captain (RTC), understudies the COO and acts as the COO in her absence. The COO and RTC are the two field positions that are able to make all decisions regarding rescue, triage and transportation. The RTC also assists in new volunteer and continuation training.
